Retailers are starting to release their Halloween décor and one trend is coming in hotter than all the others: Wicker Halloween décor. Wicker has been around for generations and in recent years we’ve seen a resurgence of it used in home décor.
Both high end and budget retailers are utilizing this style of décor which gives shoppers access to both expensive and budget friendly options! If you’re like me and you change up your decorating style often, the cheaper options are your best bet, but if you like to purchase quality, consider dropping a little bit more money!
Before we get into shopping, let’s touch do some quick housekeeping so we’re all on the same page! The words “wicker” and “rattan” are often used interchangeably when in reality, there’s quite a big difference between them! Wicker is a style of weaving that creates a criss cross pattern while rattan is a material. So while a wicker pattern can be created by using rattan, it can also be created using other materials. I've had my eye on these wicker bats from Terrain. This specific set is very rounded and three dimensional while many of the others available are more flat. I picked up two basket-style bats from TJ Maxx and plan to display them on my living room built-ins.

Would it even be a post about Halloween home decor if I didn't mention pumpkins? Pottery Barn's wicker pumpkins are traditional and classic while the woven pumpkin planter from Terrain adds a touch of whimsy.
