I've partnered with Ruggable to outfit my kitchen and pantry with beautiful new runners that offer beauty and one very specific unbeatable quality!
If you've ever moved into a new home you know exactly what I'm about to talk about - the To Do list. Walls you want to paint, furniture you want to buy, shelves you want to style. The list may be short or long, filled with DIY projects or projects you need to hire out, but time, money and circumstances often get in the way of getting everything done right this second.
One of those items on my list was a runner for my kitchen. The truth is I had quite a few items that took priority, things like buying a bed so my husband and I could stop sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Once I got to a point where I was finally ready to buy a rug for the kitchen, quite a few things made me hesitate, not the least of which was the fact that my passion for cooking occasionally causes messes!
When the prospect of working with Ruggable first came up, I was thrilled! If you've heard of them, you know why, if you haven't - just wait for it. Their rugs are MACHINE WASHABLE! I'll take a minute and let that sink in if it's the first time you're reading it.
Alright. We good? A rug that is machine washable means you no longer have to be afraid of kids spilling their drinks or mama dropping the ladle of spaghetti sauce (I definitely did that once). You also don't have to worry about pet accidents or someone dragging in mud (take your shoes off in the house, people! For real!).
Each rug comes with a rug pad that holds it in place and keep it from slipping. The rug itself pulls right off and can be thrown in the washing machine. While the rug is light enough to easily wash, the quality of the fabric combined with the heavier rug pad gives it the thickness and durability that you would find with most traditional rugs.
For my kitchen I chose the Leelu rug because the clean lines of the black and white design seemed like it was made to bring together my white and black cabinetry! The geometric Aztec print keeps things modern and fits in with my more contemporary decor.
I have this bad boy right in front of my range between the stove and the sink - if that isn't a vote of confidence, I don't know what is. This placement also means this rug is going to get a lot of traffic. The reason it's washable is the only reason why I felt brave enough to buy a white rug for my kitchen!
Off topic a bit (or completely), but if you look closely you'll see snow covering that big tree in our backyard. In Oklahoma we aren't guaranteed snow every winter and the fact that it's already snowed twice this winter is a gift, in my opinion. But you're not here to witness me waxing poetic about the changing seasons so I'll move on!
I love this view of the of the rug because I think the black island makes the black design pop! Do you agree?
I hope you enjoyed seeing my new Ruggable runner! Check back later this week when I showcase the runner I got for my pantry! Can you guess which one I got? Don't forget to check out Ruggable's website to see all their beautiful rugs - they have quite a few gorgeous options in many different styles.
Until next time!
